Satan is always looking for a way to come at you (John 10:10). He knows your weaknesses, likes, dislikes, worries, and fears. He has watched you, listened, and studied you very well.
All of this, he uses against you. At just the right time, he will pounce on the chance to kick you when you are down. He will throw darts and daggers about your failures, sins, and past mistakes, but don’t fear (Psalm 91:15).
Regardless, there is something you can do (James 4:7). You can stop the devil in his tracks! You can shut him down and shut him up.
With the Word of God, he doesn’t stand a chance, so use it well (Hebrews 4:12). Don’t hesitate to keep it handy. Whether it is the physical bible or the Word stored up inside of you, use it all!
Don’t fight fair with him. Tell the devil his future. Let him know that he has an eternal doom waiting for him (Isaiah 14:12-15).
Let him know who you are in Christ and that he is defeated in the name of Jesus! Don’t let a moment slip or pass you by to slap the devil’s head! Remember, his place is always under your feet (Romans 16:20).
The power, given to you, from the Heavenly Father, is stronger than the devil (Luke 10:19). The authority, from Jesus, is mightier than the enemy’s tricks and lies (Matthew 28:18)! Haven’t you seen by now that he (the enemy) uses some of the same old tactics to distract you every time?
He will get creative, switch up these tactics, and increase how and when he will use them against you because he wants to destroy you (Luke 22:31-32). Know that he will also use this world and all it has to offer as a distraction too (1 John 2:16). Still, he is no match for you when you realize and activate the power of the Holy Ghost (Mark 16:17, Matthew 7:22, Luke 10:17, Acts 19:13)! Like Christ, you can stand toe to toe with that old devil and tell him, “It is written…” (Matthew 4:4-6). However, you must believe it, live it, and profess it, or you will be no match for Satan (Acts 9:15). Be blessed today!
