The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). This is what is all comes down to. As people of God, we will go through ups and downs. There will be things that make us feel like we are on our own. We may even feel like we don’t have any hope, but we do!

Through it all, we must know that God is unstoppable, and He is in control of everyone and everything. We must not be shaken or distracted by things happening around us or even to us. Likewise, claim God’s peace that passes all understanding, and He will keep you daily!

Now is the time to be ministering to the needs of others, encouraging others, sharing testimonies of faith, and praising God for what we know He is doing. Let us remind others to be doing the same. Remember, the words of our Savior:

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

John 16:33

In closing, we are never alone, and we have a choice to seek the Lord’s joy at all times. This way, when problems come, we are ready with the right response, and we won’t fear the problems. Instead, we will say, “The joy of the Lord is my strength.”

“The Lord God is my strength, and He will make my feet like hinds’ feet, and He will make me to walk upon mine high places.”

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair.”
