Stress is a thing. There are real reasons to be stressed. All of this is true. However, it is how the stress is handled that counts.
Just because stress comes into a life, doesn’t mean that stress has to overcome that life. It doesn’t mean that stress should overtake a life. Life can be salvaged when the stress is managed appropriately.
How one person chooses to handle stress is up to the individual. One way may not work for everyone else. If you didn’t know, what does work is giving what stresses you to Jesus.
Again, one way to handle stress may not work for all. However, if you are interested, in trying Jesus’ way, it can work for you. Be warned, it takes full commitment to see results.
To see results, there is a process that begins with entering a personal relationship with Jesus. You have to be willing to surrender your body and soul to Him.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28
Just because you have a relationship with Jesus and become saved doesn’t mean that stress won’t come into your life. Still, when it comes, having Jesus on your side is a great way to live through any challenge. With all challenges that come your way, and they will come, Jesus can help you to face them. Then, you will see yourself coming out of it on the other side!
Once on the other side, the confidence in Jesus, and not in yourself, will increase. In addition, His loving nature and character will help you to realize that He knows what is best and that you can trust Him with your life.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.”Proverbs 3:5-6
“Throw the whole of your anxiety upon Him, because He Himself cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7
Surrendering all to Jesus will be humbling and scary, because you will be under His will and not your own. While following His lead, you will be tempted to take matters back into your hands. However, to follow Jesus and to feel His peace, total submission is necessary.
“Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.”Psalm 68:19
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you: not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”John 14:27
In conclusion, we all face stress. Even so, we don’t have to face it alone or give in to it. If we are willing to accept it, the peace of Jesus will be there to calm our fears.
Rest in Jesus,
