Made New

“For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ wss raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.”

Romans 6:4

No matter where you are from or what you have been through, if you are one with God, through Jesus, you are a new creation. What this means is that your past is not a part of your future. Your future is not dismissed because of your bad decisions.

Your bad decisions have been forgiven by God because you are a friend of Jesus. Being a friend of Jesus means that, going forward, you are a new person. As a new person, you are determined to follow after the Word of God.

With this determination, the Word of God is constantly changing and transforming you. You are constantly growing into the fullness of what God has made you to become. As you are becoming this new creation, you are being a light to others.

As you shine for God, you are helping to lead the way to Christ. By leading the way to Christ, you are helping others to know the same love and forgiveness that was given to you by God. You do this because you know that the gift was freely given to you.

Most importantly, you know and understand that you have been made new and want others to be made new as well! Now, more than ever, you and your testimony are needed (in this world) to reach others for Christ. Amen.

Have a blessed Sunday,
