Freedom in Jesus

When we hide in Christ, we are protected and shielded (Exodus 33:22) (Psalm 17:8) (Psalm 27:5).  This is good news!  If we allow Him to be, Jesus will be our refuge.

Not only is God our refuge and we can trust in Him (Psalm 14:6) (Proverbs 18:10) (Jeremiah 16:19), but God delivers us from the enemy (any evil forces and Satan) and from any sickness or natural disaster (1 Kings 8:37) (2 Chronicles 20:9) (Proverbs 6:5).  With this deliverance, God shields us and is Truth.

Jesus is our blessing and our Truth, and His children can be assured that He is also fighting for them (Exodus 33:22) (Ruth 2:12) (Isaiah 26:20).  Wow! What is there to fear with God’s protection?  We should not fear the night or the day or the danger that may come in those moments (Job 5:19) (Proverbs 3:25) (Solomon 3:8).

Obviously, not being afraid is important to God because He keeps telling us this all throughout His Word! In Psalm 91:6, He tells us not to fear any sickness that comes upon the land or destruction that might be natural or supernatural (Deuteronomy 32:24) (2 Kings 19:35) (Job 5:22).  While others may fail and be overtaken, God will not let anything overtake you (Genesis 7:23) (Joshua 14:10) (Exodus 12: 12,13).

When we need God, He is there.  He will answer (John 12:26) (1 Samuel 2:30) (Psalm 50:15). We cannot worry about when He answers.  The way in which He answers is His business!

Just know that, when He answers, it will be for your good and His glory (Romans 8:28).  Just know that it will be on time and just what you need.  Father knows best (Jeremiah 29:11).

In closing, God gives us freedom and a new life in Him, on Earth, and in the life to come (Deuteronomy 6:2) (1 Kings 3:14) (Proverbs 3:1).  As previously stated, only those who abide in Him and have accepted Jesus as Lord will be able to enjoy this new life and freedom.  The choice is in our hands!

Some scriptures to remind you that you have freedom in God:

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.  John 8:32

For you did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”  Romans 8:15

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.  2 Corinthians 3:17

For you, brothers, were called to freedom; but do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh. Rather, serve one another in love.  Galatians 5:13

I pray you receive God’s freedom, today,
