Why look down, when you can just look up. I mean, you could look down, but that would mean not facing life “head on”. That would mean fearing the unknown and running from what challenges you.

Still, you can always choose to look up. No matter what, you can keep your head up and choose to live without backing down. Even if you have backed down before, you can choose not to back down again.

Again and again, you can choose to live through whatever comes. Whatever comes, you can choose to live and “look up to Jesus” for help. Having His help will become your strength.

“But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest on me.”

2 Corinthians 12:9

Through Christ, we live. Through His life, we can see our circumstances for what they truly are. Not with rose-colored glasses or by pretending that everything is okay but by acknowledging that only the power of God can make things better!

Such a perspective can only be possible by taking time to fellowship with Jesus daily. Such a perspective allows us to look at our problems and still see promises. God’s promises.

“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Philippians 4:13

Standing on the promises of God, we will begin to face our lives and stop looking and running away from them. We will be able to live our lives with less fear. We will also be able to see what God wants us to see and learn what He wants us to learn.

“This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.”

1 Corinthians 4:1

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from where comes my help.”

Psalm 121:1
