A Made Up Mind

So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless.

1 Corinthians 15:58

When you do the things you love and also bring God glory, you don’t have the ability to be worried about what others think. At the end of every day, what others think is the last thing on your mind. What is on your mind is being happy, living your life, and doing the things that matter most.

What matters most is that your family is doing well, they are safe, and they are cared for. Your friends matter, and you do what you can to lift them up each day. As you go through your day, you pray for others and hope that they are living in harmony with each other and with the Lord Jesus.

When things are not going well, you pray about it. You take it to God and leave it there. You focus on the good and what is going well. You keep moving forward, no matter how many times you get knocked down.

Everything is a lesson learned, and you treasure every moment that you are able to open your eyes. You learn to let things go and not hold on to regret. When others want to point fingers or bring up the past, you take the high road and remember who you are in Christ.

Though it hasn’t been easy, this is how you live your life now. You have made a conscious decision to be who God has called you to be and to not answer to anything else. No more hollering back, no more clapping back, no more trying to have the last word or proving your point.

Tomorrow isn’t promised, and neither is this day. Knowing this, you will enjoy it, be purposeful in it, and seek God’s counsel through it. This is now your made up mind. This is how you live your life!
