Marvelous Things

Looking around, it is so easy to list all of the bad things going on in the world and in our lives. Taking a closer look, we will find that God is doing some pretty miraculous things all around us! As part of His body of believers, we must never stop sharing this fact with others.

For instance, even in the midst of turmoil, many of us still manage to live peaceful lives. Along with this, some of us can say that our lives have barely been interrupted. Praise God! In every uncomfortable and uncertain moment, God shows up and provides. Never have we been left to our own defenses. If we are willing to walk with Him, Jesus is always there leading us closer to God’s safety and protection.

Though one area of our lives may have been affected by this social climate, we can find other areas that are still thriving. Because of this, can still rejoice. While we can’t rejoice in the sorrow or the pain, we can rejoice in the great God we serve and believe that He never leaves us.

Moreover, we can rejoice because we know God is doing marvelous things in the lives of others. Everywhere, God is healing, bringing strength, and bringing revelation. Souls are being saved. Minds are being transformed, and lives are being repaired and reconnected. Though we can’t see it all for ourselves, we know the power of God. Therefore, we can believe that these things, and more, are taking place!

Finally, while we don’t understand all that we go through, we understand that God knows all and will teach us what He wants us to know. Day by day, He speaks and reveals things. Through the Holy Spirit, God shows us how to move and respond to life. Yet, it is up to us to listen and be willing to learn. Then, in response, may we share these revelations with the believers and the lost.

“O sing unto the Lord a new song: for He hath done marvelous things: His right hand, and His holy arm, hath gotten Him the victory.”

Psalm 98:1
