This week may have been a hard one for you. Perhaps, you felt physically and emotionally drained. When you called on God to give you the strength you needed, he came through.
I will be glad and rejoice in Your unfailing love, for You have seen my troubles, and You care about the anguish of my soul. (Psalm 31:7)
About the time you felt like you could not take another step, God gave you the grace to keep walking. Because you prayed and believed that He would not allow any obstacle to overtake you, you were at ease and did not worry. Instead, as the daily tasks required more and more energy from you, you knew that God would give you a second wind. Just like that, He did!
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. (Ephesians 3:18-19)
In each and every one of those challenging moments, you were reminded just how much God loves you. Still, in this very moment, you realize that it is impossible to fully grasp how much God cares for you. All throughout your day, you know that you are never alone. You know this, because you are walking hand-in-hand with His son Jesus. You can also feel His Spirit, on the inside, giving you peace.
God showed how much He loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. This is real love — not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other. No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and His love is brought to full expression in us. (1 John 4:9-12)
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! (Galatians 5:22-23)
