There was a time when I made plans for my life without any flexibility. It was my way or else. When I did not get my way, I felt like a failure. At the same time, nothing could console me. There was no “bright side”. Handling disappointment was not my strong suit. Believe it or not, I was a born-again believer. After many frustrations and sleepless nights, I asked Jesus to help me.
Along with this, I allowed the Bible to help me take a good, long look at myself and my actions. With the help of the Lord, I realized my attitude was in need of an adjustment. Instead of leaning to my own understanding, I decided that I wanted to give all my concerns and plans to God.
Though life will not always go as planned, it will always work out for my good and to God’s glory (Romans 8:28). Today, I have full confidence that God is in control and knows the best path for my life. Through Christ, all things, that are meant for us, will come to pass.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
